HCPL gratefully accepts the assistance of volunteers to help serve the public. Tasks and opportunities vary from branch to branch, but volunteers are expected to meet the requirements of the library. In order to become a volunteer, you must complete and submit the appropriate volunteer application.
At most branches, volunteers assist with ongoing needs on a variety of projects and tasks. Volunteer opportunities vary by branch. A few examples of tasks handled by volunteers include, but are not limited to:
Displays & bulletin boards
Shelving materials
Crafts
Book sales
Literacy, ESL and Citizenship tutoring
