Group photo of the Parker Williams FriendsThe Friends of Parker Williams Branch Library was chartered in 1990. The purpose of this organization is to maintain an association of persons interested in libraries, to focus public attention on our library, to stimulate the use of the library’s resources, to receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests … and to support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.

Friends of the Parker Williams Library logoMembership is open to all persons interested in the library and to representatives of organizations and clubs when such representation is desired. There are both daytime and night meetings throughout the year with lunch/dinner meetings occasionally. Child, Individual, Family, Patron, and Group/Business memberships are available.

Funds raised through monthly book events are dedicated to library programs, resources and improvements. Also, there are 3 book carts near the front door with gently used books available for a small donation.
